Topics We Write About

Recovery touches almost every part of life, so our articles range quite widely. Here is a quick map of what each section covers, to help you find the right starting point.

Recovery

The long middle stretch after an accident, operation or illness: pacing your activity, resting well, keeping motivation up and getting back to things like driving or work. If you are wondering why progress feels slow, start here.

Fitness

Movement for people who are starting again rather than training for a race. Expect gentle routines, sensible progressions and honest pieces about the pressures around bodies and appearance.

Nutrition

Everyday eating when energy is low, appetite is poor or cooking feels impossible. We cover balanced plates, hydration and food during healing, without strict diets or miracle claims.

Therapy

The emotional side of coming through something difficult. Articles explain how talking therapies work, what a first session involves and how ideas from therapy can be used gently in daily life.

Medical Assistance

Practical help with the health system: preparing for appointments, supporting someone else at theirs, stocking a first-aid kit and knowing when to call 999, NHS 111 or your GP.

Guides and General

Wider health topics that do not fit neatly elsewhere, from vaping rules and dental implants to menopause, hospital navigation and research tools. These pieces aim to explain a subject clearly rather than recommend a particular choice.

What we leave out

We do not write about specific medicines or doses, individual legal claims, or anything that would need a professional to assess you in person. When a topic reaches that point, our articles say so and suggest who to ask instead.
