About Cookies

A cookie is a tiny text file a site can leave in your browser so it recognises something the next time you visit. Many sites use them to track visitors across the web or to show targeted adverts. We do not.

What we store

The only thing this site saves in your browser is your answer to the cookie banner, so that you are not asked the same question on every page. It is kept in your browser's local storage, has no expiry date set by us and stays on your device. It does not contain your name, email address or any other personal detail, and it is never sent to us or anyone else.

What we do not use

  • no advertising or retargeting cookies
  • no analytics or visitor-counting tools
  • no social media buttons that load content from other companies
  • no embedded videos or maps from outside providers

Because nothing beyond your banner choice is stored, the site works in exactly the same way whether you accept or decline.

Changing your mind

To see the banner again, clear the stored data for crashsurvivorsnetwork.org in your browser settings. Most browsers let you do this under privacy or site settings, usually with an option to remove data for a single website. Private or incognito windows discard it automatically when closed.

Other websites

If you follow a link from one of our articles to another website, that site may use its own cookies. Their policies apply there, not ours, so it is worth checking them.
